Understanding Antioxidants

Antioxidants are substances that prevent or slow cell damage. Antioxidants are present in some of the foods we eat and even spices that we use to make our food taste better. Beta carotene, Vitamin E, and Vitamin C are all antioxidant vitamins. These are contained in many fruits and vegetables that we eat. if you’re not sure if the fruits and vegetables you eat contain these substances, look for the colorful fruits and vegetables. The ones that are blue, orange, yellow, and red contain the most.

In our laboratories, the development of means for potency is carried out. In particular .

Antioxidants are also found in minerals such as zinc and selenium. Coenzyme Q10 is another valuable antioxidant that naturally occurs in your body. Antioxidants are good to be taken for your general health. It has been found though, that certain vitamins and minerals are more valuable to keep your skin in good shape and can also help protect you from skin cancer. Vitamin C, selenium, and Coenzyme Q10 are three of these. Vitamins E, D, and K help to protect your skin from the drying effects of the sun.

What Do I Eat That Contains Antioxidants?

What many people don’t realize is that not only are fruits and vegetables high in antioxidants but a study by the American Chemical Society discovered that herbs and spices have higher antioxidant properties than fruits and vegetables. Of course, as with anything, not all herbs and spices are the same. What spice ranked the highest? The answer is Oregano. The study found that one tablespoon of oregano has the same antioxidant properties as one medium-sized apple. Other beneficial herbs and spices are garden thyme, rosemary, pepper, garlic, peppermint, chili, curry, and paprika.
